Special force planned for sea boundary

ISLAMABAD: A special force comprising 12,000 marines will be raised to help make the protection of the country`s sea boundary invincible, Minister for Ports and Shipping Senator Kamran Michael announced on Tuesday.

The force will be consisted of skilled personnel and it would be headed by a three-star general, Senator Michael said, adding Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had issued directives in this regard and Defence Ministry had already started work on the project.

APP adds: The minister said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the Gwadar Port would change the future of the country and the region as well.

He said security would be provided to investors in Gwadar.
